Following his retirement in 2019, Ennio Morricone began working with his son, (film)composer and conductor Andrea Morricone and concert producers GEA Live on the format of a new arena spectacular around his body of work.

The time had come to treat fans around the World to something new. By mid-2020, the Maestro had curated the program for a fully produced new show with clips from the greatest classic films, intelligent lighting, and the handpicked favorite soloists to be featured on stage alongside symphony orchestras and choirs under the baton of his son Andrea Morricone. On July 6th 2020, Ennio Morricone passed at age 91.

In 2022, Ennio Morricone – The Official Concert Celebration will kick off its first major tour, visiting numerous countries in Europe and Asia. Audiences will get to enjoy the scores from Cinema Paradiso, The Mission, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Once Upon a Time in America, and The Untouchables, among others. The program will not only include the most beloved compositions and scenes from the movies but also pay homage to the Maestro, with never-before-seen footage of the legend at work.
